- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager, requiring all selections to win for a payout.
- Asian Handicap
- A spread betting system that gives a virtual advantage or disadvantage to teams to level the playing field.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for placing bets.
- Bet Builder
- An online tool that lets you combine multiple markets from a single match into a single custom bet.
- Bookmaker
- A company or individual that sets odds and accepts bets from the public.
- Both Teams To Score
- A bet on whether both teams will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature allowing you to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match, increasing your chance of winning.
- Draw No Bet
- A market where you bet on a team to win; if the match ends in a draw, the stake is refunded.
- Edge
- The perceived advantage a bettor believes they have over the bookmaker's odds.
- Handicap
- A virtual deficit or surplus applied to a team’s final score to create more balanced betting odds.
- In-Play
- Betting on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update in real time.
- Kelly Criterion
- A mathematical formula used to determine the optimal size of a bet relative to perceived edge.
- Lay
- To bet against a particular outcome, acting as the bookmaker in a peer‑to‑peer betting exchange.
- Matched Betting
- A technique that uses free bets and promotions to guarantee a profit by covering all possible outcomes.
- Odds
- The probability of an outcome expressed as a number, determining both potential payout and implied chance.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether a specific statistic (like total goals) will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for a payout, similar to an Accumulator.
- Push
- When a bet ends in a tie (e.g., a point spread lands exactly on the line), resulting in a refund.
- Spread
- The range set by a bookmaker within which the total of something (goals, points) is expected to fall.
- Stake
- The amount of money you place on a bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered appear higher than the true probability of the outcome, indicating potential edge.
- Void
- A bet that is cancelled and the stake returned, often due to a match being postponed or a rule breach.
- Wager
- Synonym for a bet; the act of risking money on an outcome.
- Yield
- The net profit or loss from betting expressed as a percentage of the total amount wagered.
